چکیده

This paper presents a real and application-based scenario for dynamically driven catalytic methanation unit, using off-gases from an integrated steel mill as input. Several parameters are subject to dynamic changes during the standard production of steel, such available amount composition accumulating process gases, temperature operating pressure well their periodicity. In addition, hydrogen can vary depending on fluctuating renewable energy installed electrolyzer. Analysis routes in steelmaking revealed that among many theoretically possible modes driving which defined literature, there is only one realistic scenario. The definition this case supported by experiments performed with three-stage setup lab-scale. experimental campaign covered cases flow rates, adjusting blast furnace converter gases based high variations availability hydrogen. It was achieve very stable product gas compositions, even though load input power up 64% range 120 min were executed. did not result any additional catalyst deactivation through whole campaign.

Morphology of Ruthenium Particles for Methanation under Reactive Conditions

The potential of hydrogen as a future energy carrier is only fully unleashed if fuel processors generating hydrogen of a suitable purity can be engineered. Selective methanation of CO can be used as a first step for cleaning up feed gas for e.g. proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells [1] where CO poisons the platinum electrodes and for removing oxygen containing compounds in hydrogen feeds u...

Foil Application to Reduce Resistance of Catamaran under High Speeds and Different Operating Conditions

Today, researchers exploit hybrid craft more than they used to be. The main reason is that they need to high speed as well as extra portability. For instance, a famous hybrid craft is named Hysucat, was designed through the combination of catamaran and hydrofoil. Catamarans, a type of multihull boats, have always considered by designers because of their simultaneous supply of high speed and sta...

Radial Lip Seals Efficiency under Dynamic Operating Conditions

This paper describes experimental and numerical procedures to estimate friction torque on a rotating shaft due to radial elastomeric seals. Two different test rigs have been built, in order to highlight the relationship between the overall friction and the local behaviour of each lip portion in presence of dynamic eccentricities. A direct measurement has been performed with a rotating shaft mac...

Determination of Suitable Operating Conditions of Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process by Application of Artificial Neural Network and Firefly Algorithm

Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) process is a vital unit to produce gasoline. In this research, a feed forward ANN model was developed and trained with industrial data to investigate the effect of operating variables containing reactor temperature feed flow rate, the temperature of the top of the main column and the temperature of the bottom of the debutanizer tower on quality and quantity of...
